Performance
Twin Digital VRM design leverages 16 VCORE phases and 70A Power Stage to ensure electrical throughput that can handle Intel Core, Pentium, and Celeron processors as well as extreme overclocking. DDR5 XMP overclocking boosts RAM up to 7600 MHz for enhanced multitasking and rendering performance.
Power Delivery
The Z790 AORUSÂ ELITE AX-W features a twin 16+1+2 phases digital VRM solution with 70A Smart Power Stages. This ensures that even the most demanding processors can be powered without any problems. The motherboard also has a fully covered MOSFET heatsink and a 6mm heatpipe to ensure that the VRM remains cool under load.
Enhanced Thermal Design
Designed to maintain thermal performance and prevent system throttling, the AORUS ELITE AX-W’s fully covered MOSFET heat sink, M.2 Thermal Guard, 6mm heatpipe, 7.5 W/mK Thermal Pad, and 6-layer 2x copper PCB work together to ensure that onboard components are safe under heavy loads. Smart Fan 6 application gives users the ability to monitor and operate connected fans to assist with cooling capabilities.
Networking
The Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W features a 2.5GbE LAN port and Wi-Fi 6E with Ultra-high gain antenna. The 2.5GbE LAN port provides up to 2.5x faster speeds than standard Gigabit Ethernet ports. The Ultra-high gain antenna helps to improve signal strength and range.
Front Panel USB-C Connector
The USB 3.2 Gen 2 port has a throughput up to 10 Gb/s while connected to USB 3.2 compliant peripherals. With the USB Type-C connector, users can enjoy the flexibility of a reversible connection to access and store massive amounts of data rapidly.
Personalization & Customization
With an array of RGB headers, you can use GIGABYTE’s RGB Fusion and Control Center software to customize your rig with a wide range of colors and lighting effects, turning your rig into the centerpiece of your gaming room. UEFI BIOS settings can be easily accessed and allow you to fine-tune your performance profile according to your needs. A multi-key function reset button can be reconfigured to other functions within the BIOS to meet different user scenarios such as acting as an RGB switch, boot directly to BIOS, and enable Safe Mode.
